Amy and her husband, Duke, moved to North St. Paul in 2004 and have raised their two boys here. Their oldest son, Duke, is a junior at the University of St. Thomas and youngest son, Willy, is a junior at North High. As a former teacher, Amy wanted to get involved with the schools. She first became active in her children’s elementary schools, sat on some district-wide committees, and joined the 622 Education Foundation in 2010. In 2011 Amy was elected to the ISD 622 School Board where she served 8 years. She has really enjoyed her time with the 622 Education Foundation. It has been interesting for her to watch the fundraisers and different events evolve over time as our demographics and student needs continually change.
