Rachel (Rae) Presslein is the Program Director of Thrive at Community Thread, a nonprofit organization serving Washington County. In this role, she is responsible for a membership-based network offering direct support services, community resources, social activities, and volunteer opportunities for older adults.
Before moving to Minnesota in 2019, Rae worked with the Foundation for Health Leadership & Innovation based in North Carolina. For this organization, she developed and launched several programs focused on improving rural and community health, and she managed communications and fundraising efforts. Rae also worked previously as Volunteer Program Manager for the Habitat for Humanity ReStore serving Durham & Orange Counties, NC.
Rae holds a Master of Public Administration degree from North Carolina State University, and undergraduate degrees in Nonprofit Organization Management and Sociology from Lakeland University (WI).
Rae lives in Oakdale with her husband and young son (future 622 student), and she is proud to serve her community and share her professional expertise as a board member of the 622 Education Foundation.
